About Us

Vigorous and Beautiful

Wild flowers in the field are beautiful. They are strong, energetic, vigorous and beautiful. We believe this is what represents Japanese beauty. “Can we make real beauty products with this power of wild plants, which express the quintessence of Japanese beauty?” In 2012, this idea – inspired by a book on wild plants – was finally translated into reality with the course of time and the encounter with new friends. HOKUROKU SOUSUI – Water of wild plants from the foot of the north side of the mountain. Please call us “HOKUROKU SOUSUI”.

Making Use of Healthy Wild Plants

HOKUROKU SOUSUI is a skincare brand born in Japan. We focus on primeval wild plants and useful plants in Japan and our accumulated research and development on every process from cultivation to extraction are applied in manufacturing our products. Washing away impurities from skin and moisturizing by adding essential ingredients abundantly to skin. By valuing these two points, we created skincare products that make you feel like taking a deep breath in the forest. To experience the power of HOKUROKU SOUSUI fully, we develop and introduce the effective methods to condition your skin from within your body by adopting the right diet, exercise, sleeping and bathing habits, along with proper facial cleansing and moisturizing methods to treat your skin from outside.

Japanese culture makes expert use of nature in daily life.

Japanese women’s skin is renowned worldwide for the beauty of its fine, regular structure. This is surely the result of Japan’s characteristic way of interacting with nature, introducing herbal teas and medicinal baths into daily Life. The wild plants were chosen as the subject of KITAOJI Rosanjin’s pottery. In the Northern area of Mt. Fuji, where our factory is located, many wild plants with effective ingredients grow naturally. By repeated research and testing, we have rigorously selected the effective ingredients of Amachazuru (Gynostemma pentaphyllum), Gennoshoko (Cranesbill) and Yomogi (Japanese mugwort) and blended them into the HOKUROKU SOUSUI soap, astringent, and beauty lotions that we make.
